Program Overview

SSF PRO, in partnership with AC Training Academy, proudly presents the industry’s first comprehensive and accredited Automotive High Voltage Certification Training Program.

This exclusive program is certified by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI)—Europe’s oldest and foremost automotive professional body—and is delivered by Senior Instructors trained and certified under European Regulation ECE-R100 and ASE.

Limited to only 12 students per session, this course ensures focused instruction and hands-on experience. It includes:

Three live webinars

Two and a half days of in-person training

Hands-on learning with custom-built simulators and real electric vehicles

Theoretical and practical exams, leading to official IMI registration and eligibility for ASE High Voltage Certification

Part 1: Electrical Basic Engineering

Part 2: High Voltage Safety

Part 3: High Voltage System Understanding

Part 4: High Voltage Disconnect and Diagnostics

In-Person Training Topics:

Parallel and series electrical circuits

Function of resistors, diodes, transformers, rectifiers, and capacitors in HV systems

Ohm’s Law; function of relays and transistors

Vehicle intake process and safety measures

Determination of the high-voltage battery state

Four-wire milliohm & insulation testing

Diagnostic methods for electric vehicles

Manufacturer disconnect procedures and verification of zero potential

Tools & Equipment Used for Training:

Custom-built high voltage training carts

Color-printed student guide & digital reference materials

Milliohm meters, insulation testers, two-pole voltage testers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic tools

High voltage personal protective equipment (PPE) provided

Examinations:

Theoretical Exam:

45-minute multiple-choice exam

Practical Exam (30 minutes):

Perform a certified high-voltage disconnect procedure

Diagnose high-voltage system issues

Identify bonding and insulation faults
