Calendar Dec 10, 2025 at 9 am

(Webinar 9:00AM PST, 12:00PM EST)

Please note that registration must be completed by 12:00 PM PST on the day prior to the webinar's start.

9HP Transmission Overview

“As engineers have sought to make front wheel drive transaxles more efficient, they have used new concepts to help them reach the goals that have been set for more efficient drivelines and more forward gears. During this training, participants will first take a detailed look at the ZF 9HP to gain an understanding for how it is designed, and then take a deep dive into diagnostics. Participants will leave this training able to more effectively diagnose and repair ZF 9HP transaxles.”

After completing this training, the participant will be able to:

• List internal components of the 9HP transmission

• Identify the different characteristics of pressure regulators

• Explain the shifting strategy of the ZF 9HP

• Explain an oil change service procedure for different manufacturers

• Explain how to properly check the oil in the transmission

• Describe the common failures of the ZF 9HP

• Review the disassembly and assembly process of the transmission

• Identify special tools needed for disassembly and assembly of the unit

ADAS Operation and Calibration

As automotive manufacturers move towards making vehicles more and more autonomous, the amount of technology needed to accomplish these autonomous functions have been rapidly increasing. In this training we will cover the components used in Advance Driver Assist Systems (ADAS), how they function, and how to do several common calibrations on European vehicles.

  • During this training, the participant can expect to learn:
  • The levels of autonomous driving and what they are capable of doing
  • Advantages of ADAS on a vehicle
  • Sensors used to monitor the vehicle’s environment, and how they operate
  • Effects of worn components on ADAS systems
  • Common tools and equipment needed for ADAS calibration
  • Types of front camera calibrations and their environmental prerequisites
  • Volkswagen front radar calibration
  • Audi/Volkswagen backup camera calibration
  • Audi/Volkswagen 360 camera calibration
  • BMW night vision calibration

INTRODUCTION

The purpose of this Statement of Work (“SOW”) is to outline the work, responsibilities, and deliverables required by each of the Parties to deliver an Automotive High Voltage Certification Training Level 1 accredited by IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry) for SSF

• EV & Hybrid Awareness Training

• Safety and PPE Awareness

• Theoretical Assessment

SCOPE

The Automotive Certified Training Academy (ACTA) will deliver the aforementioned items as part of the program; utilizing the current capabilities and processes with plans to augment future offerings with additional resources, locations, and processes to improve throughput, efficiency, and student convenience. This course is built for shop owners, Service writes and Technician to understand Hybrid and electric Vehicle technology. The students will learn about the needed PPE, tools and equipment to work on electric and hybrid vehicles. The course will be taught under the guidelines of European regulation, and the student receives after successfully passing a theoretical exam a Level 1 Certificate. The instructor will share a lot of real-life experience and will dive into system, diagnostic and High Voltage System repair. The Battery design and architecture will be covered in depth in this course. The class will inform the students of US regulations and recommendations like OSHA, NFPA and SAE to prepare every shop for Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technologies.

By participating in this course, you'll be able to:

ACTA Instructors

• ACTA Instructors are trained and certified under European Regulation ECE-R100.

• All new Instructors will be educated under the following 3 step process:o Step 1 - Mandatory participation in student class and passing score on the exam.o Step 2 - Observation of Certification Training program and supervised instructional delivery during the courseo Step 3 - Facilitation of a full Certification Training Program under the supervision and guidance of a trained High Voltage Instructor

General

• The programs will be delivered in English (interpreters can be available upon request at an additional cost to SSF)

• SSF will be responsible for registering technicians and permitting access to the training facility.

• SSF will provide an Electric Vehicle, at no cost to ACTA, for the duration of the certification training to educate students on the integrity of the High Voltage system as well as diagnostic methods.

• Travel cost for trainer to SSF to conduct the Certification Training is included in the pricing
